This year, approximately 60 years after the last time, the “Nunziatella” military school also held the Honor Guard at the Quirinale with a company of students. The experience of service at the presidential palace, "Casa degli Italiani", represents one of the main formative moments in the ethical-military sphere for the students: an important event, experienced with intensity, pride and love of country.
The traditional changing of the guard began with the deployment, in Piazza del Quirinale, of the Army Band and the companies of the "Nunziatella" military school and the 1st "Granatieri di Sardegna" regiment which took turns in service, accompanied by the respective flags.
Also present at the changeover were the Army Chief of Staff, former student of the "Nunziatella" military school, Army Corps General Pietro Serino and the Commander of the Army Training, Specialization and Doctrine Command, Army Corps General Carlo Lamanna army.
The Military Institute of Naples, together with its twin Military School "Teuliè", guarantees a vast and profound preparation, particularly attentive to the completion of all the educational programs provided by the MIUR, including in the training course disciplines that favor the ethical-moral training process , cultural and physical aspects of the students through the application of a code of conduct inspired by military rules. The transversality of military culture is presented to students as an educational platform on which the values and knowledge necessary for the development of skills that can be used in any context are grafted.
