194 course officers greeted the Cavalry School. This event was completed by the completion of the 1 ° "Chosen Explorer" course, organized and conducted by the RSTA department (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) of the Cavalry School of Lecce.
The course, inserted in the final phase of the training course of the officers, allowed them to complete their professional preparation to reach the qualification of platoon commander and vice commander of company / line cavalry squadron and carts.
The 194 ° course was the first to complete the "Explorer chosen" course, obtaining the relative qualification aimed at sanctioning the acquisition of specific tactics, techniques and operating procedures aimed at the accurate and timely search of informative data.
Brigadier General Fulvio Poli, commander of the School and inspector of the Cavalry Corps, expressed his appreciation for the results achieved by the visitors and for passing the "Select Explorer" course by all the lieutenants.
"The new operational scenarios - underlined General Poli - require new generations of commanders to be able to plan and conduct tactical activities in conditions of physical and psychological stress while maintaining the lucidity and coldness necessary to make decisions that may be of strategic importance".
The Cavalry School as a single training center for RSTA, contributes to the development of the reference legislation, conducting specific training activities functional to the use in each scenario.
