The "Aquila 12/2023" exercise ended at the level II tactical training center in Brunico.
The exercise, whose aim was to consolidate and improve the ability to operate in inhabited centres, allowed the Alpine troops of the 8th regiment to train for combat in urbanized areas in a warfighting, through the use of modern simulation systems supplied to the Italian Army
Soldiers and vehicles were geolocalized for the entire duration of the exercise and, thanks to the sensors capable of interacting with the laser signal emitted by the weapon, ballistic trajectories and fire effects were reproduced exactly.
All the data collected and analyzed allowed us to obtain lessons learned on the operational aspects to be strengthened, improved or corrected. Particularly useful is the collection of data relating to the correct use of health procedures implemented by military rescuers present within the units.
