The students of "Teuliè" swear

Yesterday, seventy-two students of the Teuliè Military School in Milan took an oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic in a collective manner, before the Flag of the Institute and the Chief of Staff of the Army, general of corps Danilo Errico.

In his speech, General Errico, addressing the young students, pointed out that: "today more than ever it is clear how necessary an instruction is, whose purpose is not simply the knowledge of facts, but that of values", adding that "as affirmed one of the greatest politicians and statesmen of our time, President Nelson Mandela "Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world."

The ceremony took place in the presence of numerous civil, military and religious authorities besides the families of young students.

The course which today has sworn allegiance to the homeland taking on all the constitutional responsibilities of military status, is dedicated to the Silver Medal for Military Valor, General Roberto Segre, a former student of the institute.

The "Teuliè" Military School, the elite Italian Army High School, through a public competition, offers the possibility to all the boys and girls who have successfully completed the second year of classical and scientific high schools to continue the three-year course of do you study.
