Oath of the VFP1 of the 3 ° Block 2015

In the square "Gerardo Antonucci" of the barracks "Oreste Salomone" of Capua, home of the 17 regiment "Acqui", about four hundred volunteers in fixed stops of one year, belonging to the 3 ° block 2015, took an oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic, assuming all constitutional responsibilities of military status.

The young soldiers, under the command of the regimental commander, Colonel Giancarlo Di Serafino have pronounced their "Lo Giuro" intoning "the Canto of the Italians" on the notes of the Hymn of Mameli, performed by the band of Transport and Materials School.

The 3 block 2015 is dedicated to the memory of Infantry Second Lieutenant Nicola Pizi, decorated with a gold medal for military valor, for having sacrificed his life the 2 August 1915, in the attack for the conquest of 118 share of Monte Sei Busi . The ceremony was held in the presence of military, civil, religious authorities and combat and weapons associations, as well as family members and friends of the young soldiers. Subsequently, they will complete the basic training for another eight weeks, to then be transferred to the armed forces, located throughout the national territory, for the continuation of the service.

The "basic training" carried out in the training regiments is mainly aimed at enhancing physical training and nourishing the ethics and military culture of young soldiers. Their military career will then develop with specialization and advanced training activities, necessary to face the complexity of the new constantly evolving operational scenarios with full awareness.
