Day dedicated to the fallen of the 9 ° "Col Moschin"

At the Ciro Scianna barracks at the mouth of the Arno in Marina di Pisa, the annual memorial day of the 9th assault regiment “Col Moschin” took place.

In the presence of the general of division Nicola Zanelli (Commanding Officer for Special Forces Operations), his ordinary military excellence for Italy Monsignor Santo Marcianò, Colonel Giuliano Angelucci (regimental commander) and his men have remembered all the fallen soldiers department since its post-war reconstitution.

Also participating in the event were numerous family members of the fallen, colleagues, members of the National Army Raiders Association (ANIE) and sympathizers. The day began with a launch with the technique of free fall with the unique passage of 68 men from the "Col Moschin". Subsequently, the ordinary military Santo Marcianò celebrated Mass, during which he thanked the families present and the Army for the memory of their "heroes".

In his homily he also analyzed the being Incursor, Ardito, a man accustomed to difficulties, but for the good of others. The day was historic for the staff of the 9 regiment because, at the end of the ceremony, the military official officially handed over the army troubadour's prayer to the regimental commander.

The non-commissioned officer has read it, for the first time in an official capacity, after having listed the names of all the fallen in service. His Excellency has also signed the roll of honor of the department. After a brief exposition of the characteristics of the 9 regiment and of the activities that normally leads all those present ended the day with a sober refreshment.

The event, in addition to highlighting the proximity of the Army to the relatives of its fallen, is a further moment of closeness between the families all, the ANIE and the staff at the 9 ° "Col Moschin".
