The Army artillery command, with the 4 ° "Peschiera" regiment of Mantua, started an important exercise that will end on September 30 at the Biscarrosse range in western France.
The activity is divided into three phases: the first, which has already been completed, was a self-pillar exercise of about 1300 km, with the transfer of vehicles and personnel from Mantua to Biscarrosse; the second will engage the men and women of the Sabaudia regiment and command in an activity of "simulation of intervention against enemy aircraft"; the third will see the launch, in the French polygon, of missiles against radio targets that will represent an alleged aerial threat.
The exercise will allow the anti-aircraft gunners of the Italian Army to improve training in the use of the SAMP-T weapon system, a real latest generation "technological jewel" developed by the European consortium EUROSAM for Italy and France , which replaced the previous HAWK missile system.
