Army: in Capo Teulada the second phase of the "Trident Juncture 2015"

The second phase of the “Trident Juncture 2015”, the NATO inter-force exercise that from October XNX to 21 November sees employees in Spain, Portugal, Italy, in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, has entered into the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. land and naval forces of the Italian Armed Forces and twenty-seven other countries of the Atlantic Alliance, including seven partner countries.

At the national level, in this phase of the exercise the Army has made available several units deployed in Spain, Portugal and Capo Teulada. In Sardinia the command of the units in the polygon of Capo Teulada is entrusted to the commander of the brigade "Sassari", general Arturo Nitti, from which depend on 1.000 Italian soldiers to which are added 500 foreigners coming from the Armed Forces of Albania, United States, Hungary, Germany and Spain. Working together with the armies of other NATO member countries and partners to achieve a high degree of interoperability is one of the aims of the exercise.

The Army deploys the command post of the "Sassari" brigade, the 3 ° Bersaglieri regiment and the battalion of the 5 ° regimental genius regiment on the ground.

Also present was the Army Aviation with 5 helicopters (of which 3 “Mangusta”) of the 5 regiment “Rigel” and of the 7 regiment “Vega” and a self-propelled artillery battery of the artillery command. 
The connections are ensured by the specialists of the 7 transmissions regiment of Sacile.

In the exercise, interforce and multinational, air assets of the Air Force are used in the bases of Trapani, Decimomannu, Pratica di Mare, Pisa and Amendola as well as naval units of the Navy.
