"Spring Burning" tutorial

From the 2 to the 6 March, in the presence of the artillery commander and inspector of the Artillery Corps, division general Giovanni Domenico Pintus, took place at the Monteromano firing range (VT) in daytime and nighttime operating environment, the "Spring Burning 2015" artillery fire exercise, which saw two PZH-2000 batteries and a heavy mortar battery operated by the artillery command regiment.

The main purpose of the activity was to refine and improve the technical - tactical skills of the JFST (Joint Fire Support Team) with almost all the artillery regiments and of the 185 ° "Folgore" Objective Recognition and Acquisition Regiment.

In addition, further activities were aimed at improving the level of specialized training of the officers coming from artillery regiments (course attendants for Head of Operations Center, Head of Operations Center and Battery Commanders at the Artillery Command), of the marshals attending students of the 15 ° course and VSP / VFP4 employees involved in terrestrial artillery launches, at the end of the specialization course held in Bracciano. For the occasion, a logistic device was deployed that met the needs related to transportation, clearance, maintenance, provisioning and health support.

The results achieved have been extremely flattering and have emphasized the technical and specialist preparation of all the personnel exerted, elevating their employment standards.
