Multinational exercise on military cooperation

The "Adaptive Interaction 2023" exercise aimed at training specialist units in the civil-military cooperation sector has concluded after two weeks of activity.

The activity, organized by the Multinational CIMIC Group, a unit of the Italian-led multinational Army and joint forces, took place at the “Mario Fiore” Barracks, headquarters of the department, and in the areas of Arabba (BL) and Corvara in Badia ( BZ).

CIMIC operators from Albania, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, United States, Hungary and members of various NATO Commands participated in the exercise. engaged in a scenario focused on a crisis situation made as realistic as possible and close to contemporary operational contexts.

In particular, a series of activations were administered that reproduced events and incidents similar to those that CIMIC operators could find themselves managing and facing in the various operational scenarios.

Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Slovenian, Romanian, American and Austrian CIMIC units operated in the Arabba and Corvara areas, testing the interoperability of the procedures and the ability to transmit data in a protected manner on the basis of the activations received from the Task Group located in Motta di Livenza.

The support provided by the 7th transmission regiment through the implementation of communications systems in the three different locations made the interaction between the numerous components used in the exercise possible.

The commander of the Multinational CIMIC Group, Colonel Ugo Proietto, underlined the importance of the technical-professional preparation of the unit's personnel, which must be constantly expanded and updated in order to guarantee interoperability with similar units of the Armed Forces of the countries of the 'Atlantic Alliance in terms of procedures, personnel and equipment.
