Also this year, the Italian army is participating in the multinational ARRCADE FUSION exercise with the "Acqui" division of San Giorgio a Cremano (NA), deployed by 3 at the November 21 in the Pian del Termine training area at Civitavecchia.

On the occasion of the Visit to training day, the commander of the terrestrial operational forces, the army corps general Alberto Primicerj together with other authorities visited the exercise camp.

The command post of the "Acqui", directed by the general of division Antonio Vittiglio, is equipped with the most advanced telecommunication technologies and a state-of-the-art computer structure that can virtually connect with all the points of the planet.

Inside the headquarters there are experts from all the highly specialized units of the army, professionals from the selected reserve employed in the advisory staff of the commander, carabinieri and soldiers from other countries.

The transmitters of the 11 ° and the 232 ° regiment guarantee the carrying out of the exercise thanks to the control work on the functioning of the complex connection network together with the colleagues of the British army, a platoon of the Gurka Signal Regiment, Nepalese soldiers known for their legendary courage and for the "Kurkuri" knife they always follow.

This is the team led by General Vittiglio, engaged in a complex intervention activity under UN mandate in an imaginary African country, in which it is necessary to mitigate the consequences of a violent civil war: purpose of the mission to restore stability in the area and restore the credibility of the weak and corrupt central government.

Everything takes place in real time through videoconferences with the Rapid Reaction Command (ARRC) which, located in the Saint Mawgan base in Cornwall with its response cells, guides and conducts operations.

Training, this of the army, played through Europe, in operating rooms built with transportable structures linked together by a dense network of tunnels.
