As part of the training activities, the 3 ^ Alpine Regiment redeployed at the Carpegna military range to conduct a shooting exercise with all individual and departmental weapons.
In the first phase, a school of heavy and medium mortar fire was conducted, which saw the active participation of Brigadier General Massimo Mingiardi, Commander of the Cesano Infantry School, operators of the 4 ^ Alpine Paratroopers Regiment and observers of the departments of the Alpine troops and the 66 ^ "Trieste" infantry aircraft regiment, in consideration of the experimentation of new night shooting adjustment techniques.
In the second phase, fire activities were carried out on a complex minor level in day and night. Two A129 participated in the exercise Mongoose of the 7 ^ VES "Vega" regiment.
The activity has allowed to increase the cooperation capacities between the troops on the ground and the support of aerial fire and mortars. Thanks to the involvement of these assets the staff was able to descend into a coherent and realistic training context, even more enhanced by the compartmentalized land and the weather conditions characteristic of the winter season.
