The Army Chief of Staff, Army Corps General Danilo Errico, took part in the concluding phase of the "Galileo 2015" and "Civetta 2015" exercises, the only training event in the Armed Forces specifically aimed at RISTA specialists (Reconnaissance , Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition-Electronic Warfare) of the Army.

The acronym stands for highly specialized personnel in the acquisition, collection, processing and dissemination of all the data needed to ensure timely knowledge of the environment in which unit staff will have to work to protect as far as possible safety and safety .

The exercise kicked off the 11 May 2015 at the training area of ​​Monteromano (VT) with the aim of validating the professional skills acquired by the staff in the use of software and hardware tools specific to the sector.

In addition to the commander of the "RISTA" brigade, Brigadier General Francesco Maria Ceravolo, also the Commander of the Terrestrial Operations Forces, Armed Forces General Alberto Primicerj, and the Commander of the Transmission and Information of the Army General armed body Adriano Vieceli.

At the same time as the "Galileo 2015" exercise, the "Civetta 2015" exercise was held to validate the RISTA-EW Task Force, based on 33 ° EW Regiment, aimed at verifying the Command and Control capabilities in a centralized, coordinated form. , integrated and digitized of the sensory systems supplied.

The activities are a good opportunity to present the current specialist skills of the RISTA-EW Brigade and those of possible future use.

At the end, at the training area, the authorities visited a static exhibition of the main vehicles and systems supplied to the RISTA-EW Brigade units.
