The bomb squads of the Army of the 2nd Engineers Regiment of Trento will conduct on July 3 in Campo di Trens in the province of Bolzano, a complex operation of reclamation of the territory with two distinct sequential interventions for the deactivation, transport and blasting of 2 bombs of American aircraft of 2.000 pounds each dating back to the 2nd world war.
Two teams of Army bomb squads, with the support of two complete and independent health structures, will conduct the delicate activity that will have start at 7:30 am and will presumably finish at 18:30 pm. For this event, the competent authorities have ordered the evacuation of an area of about 3 km for almost 2.500 local inhabitants, which must be completed by 7:30 am and the ban on the A22 Brenner motorway in the Bressanone Val Pusteria section. - Vipiteno and the state road 12 in both directions. In addition, access to nearby municipal roads, cycle paths and paths will be prohibited and both transit along the Brenner railway in both directions and air traffic will be interrupted.
In 2016, so far, there are over 850 remediation interventions that the Army bomb squads have carried out in favor of the community; over 30.000 in the last ten years.
