Foreign delegation visiting the Artillery Command of Bracciano

The Artillery Command received a visit from a delegation of foreign military personnel accredited in Italy. The military attachés, accompanied on this occasion by representatives of the Army General Staff, were welcomed by the Artillery Commander and Inspector of the Artillery Corps, Division General Giovanni Domenico Pintus.

After the welcome greeting, the delegation was presented with an illustrative briefing concerning the Artillery Command, the current situation and the evolutionary developments of the Italian artillery, which resulted in a specialized in-depth debate related to the use of fire in modern operational scenarios . The visit then continued at the main training and simulation structures of the Artillery Command and the Fire & Targeting and InfoOps Center of the Army, focusing on the aspects of joint fire support and operational issues related to Battle Space Management and deconfliction.

Then the guests were able to appreciate the level of technological sophistication inherent in the simulators dedicated to the training of Forward Air Controllers (FAC) and the crews of the PzH2000 self-propelled. A static exhibition with artillery and technical means currently used by artillery regiments was also set up for the occasion. The meeting ended with an exchange of gifts.
