In recent days, a delegation of officers from the Kenyan armed forces visited the Military Penitentiary Organization (OPM), testifying to the prestige enjoyed by the latter, as the only military prison in Europe.

After receiving a welcome at the Army General Staff in Rome under a office call chaired by the general officer delegated to the security of the Army, on which the OPM depends, the delegation was accompanied to the "Ezio Andolfato" barracks in Santa Maria Capua Vetere, seat of the military prison.

During the activity, the commander of the OPM, Colonel Raffaele D'ambrosio, assisted by his own close collaborators as well as qualified representatives of the General Staff of the Army, illustrated a cognitive briefing of the Military Penitentiary Institute, focusing in particular on the activities treatments carried out in favor of prisoners, essentially aimed at their full reintegration into the social sphere.

The delegation also conducted a visit to the military prison and related detention facilities, having the opportunity to appreciate both the perfect internal organization and the high professionalism of the military personnel employed there.
