The Army Chief of Staff, Army Corps General Pietro Serino, accompanied by the commander for the Training, Specialization and Doctrine of the Army, Army Corps General Carlo Lamanna, inaugurated in recent days the exhibition entitled "Virtus et Humanitas", at the command for the Army Training and Application School. Sponsored by the Ministry of Defense and curated by the president of the decorated group of the Military Order of Italy (OMI), general Danilo Errico, by Dr. Federica Dal Forno and by general Pierluigi Monteduro, the exhibition consists of a broad exhibition itinerary between the ancient values of "Virtus" and "Humanitas" on Italy's path towards the desired goals of pacification between peoples; the same will continue in an "itinerant" mode at the training institutes of the Armed Forces and other military bodies located throughout the national territory.
Afterwards, the head of SME presented the Bronze Medal of Army Valor to the Institute Flag with the motivation “Heir to the traditions of the Royal Theoretical and Practical Schools of Artillery and Fortification and an exemplary synthesis of military art, ethics and culture, since 1739 it has been forging cohorts of officers who have provided proof of extraordinary skill, courage and absolute loyalty for the defense of the homeland, especially in most critical phases in the country's history, even during the last serious pandemic crisis. An incomparable forge of very high values, a training ground for ideas and the military profession for generations of servants in arms in support of the community and its institutions, it has contributed to raising the luster and prestige of the Italian Army. Turin, 1739 – 2022”.
During his speech, the head of SME, after thanking Army Corps General Stefano Mannino, commander of the Training Institute, underlined that the awarding of such an important honor to the Institute Flag is collective recognition of the great work of all the executives, giving credit to the team work in a unique reality of the Armed Force which has been and is from its foundation to today the command for the Army Training and Application School.
