World Cup in open water swimming: Gold for Bruni and Ruffini

The double gold that came from the waters of the Rio Negro in Patagonia (ARG) to the 1 ^ stage of the world cup in open water, bear the signature of the first caporal major Rachele Bruni and of the caporal major Simone Ruffini of the Olympic Sports Center of the Army (CSOE).

The first round of the 2015 world circuit could not have started better for Italian colors; excellent performances of the two athletes of the CSOE swimming section, gained yesterday evening on the Olympic distance of the 10 kilometers.

The Tuscan athlete won the victory over the Swiss Kristel Kobrich and the Argentine Elisabeth Biagioli, while for the Marche, having the better of the Brazilians Alan Do Carmo and Diogo Andrade.

For Simone Ruffini, yesterday's podium follows what he achieved last year in Cancun (MEX), when he came second on the occasion of the 3 ^ World Cup stage, while that of Rachele Bruni comes after two years, when in 2013 he won the third place at the 1 ^ and 4 ^ test, respectively, of Santos (BRA) and Cozumel (MEX).

For the two soldiers of the Azzurri team thistoday transfer to Porte Allegre, in Brazil, for a collegiate meeting with the national cross-country skiing team, scheduled until February 28.
