The sporting event, attended by a large and interested public, was organized as part of the agreement between the Italian Army and the National Cavalry Weapon Association and is the result of collaboration between the local ANAC committee of the North East "Bianchi Lancieri", supported by the patronage of the City of Codroipo.
Over a hundred pairs, both civil and military, took part in the equestrian competition, including the commander of the "White Baveri", Colonel Elio Babbo, who competed in the C115 category.
Among the authorities present the commander of the Armored Brigade "Ariete", General Fabio Polli, the commander of the Brigade "Pozzuolo del Friuli", General Domenico Pace, and the mayor of Codroipo, Dr. Fabio Marchetti. The sporting event was enriched by collateral initiatives such as the visit to the Regiment's Historical Hall and the static exhibition of vehicles and materials supplied to the department, which attracted the attention and curiosity of those present.
Thanks to the contribution of the "Giacche Verdi" of Sedegliano moreover, in this edition the "baptism on horseback" was introduced, an activity with which adults and children could experience the thrill of riding for the first time.
The Regiment of "Lancieri di Novara" will host the future events of the National Horse Show, scheduled for Saturday 13 June and Sunday 6 September.
