The LIVEX 2015 ended

After ten days of intense training, it ended in recent days at the Infantry school di Cesano, the 5th exercise for selected shooters called LIVEX 2015. The activity involved 22 teams, each of which made up of 1 core leader, 1 sharpshooter and 1 spotter from all the brigades of the forces operational land.

The activity, marked by maximum realism and directed by the instructors of the Infantry school, was articulated on the phases of amalgamation and fire practice. LIVEX 2015 had the purpose of verifying the training level of the operators, standardizing the technical operating procedures and testing the new materials available, all of which took place in a scenario characterized by the presence of an asymmetrical threat. In particular, the second week was characterized by continuous activity that saw the teams engaged in the Monte Romano polygon and in the Monti della Tolfa area. In this circumstance, the shooting evaluation of the spotter and of the shooters at the maximum distances allowed by the shooting range (400 m - 800 m).

The final day saw the participation of the commander of the Infantry school, general of division Giovanni Manione, who intervened underlining the importance of training for the specific ability of the selected shooters and congratulating him on the excellent objectives achieved, the result of the technical and specialist preparation of all the personnel exercised.
