The "Multinational cross training" has ended, an important exercise conducted from 23 October to 10 November by the Garibaldi Bersaglieri Brigade at the military district of Persano, which involved multinational assets within theEuropean Union Battle Group (EUBG).
Achieving the maximum level of expected EUBG operational readiness was the main objective of the activity, aimed at training military assets engaged in humanitarian rescue missions, conflict prevention and management, peacekeeping and stabilization. At the same time, the ability to guarantee an adequate command and control structure for the conduct of operations and the use of forces across the entire spectrum of conflicts (Full Spectrum Operation) was tested.
“The exercise was fundamental to achieve full interoperability between the designated assets” underlined General Mario Ciorra, commander of the Bersaglieri Brigade Garibaldi. Units from Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Albania were engaged in "combined" mode with the Italian Army units.
The exercise concluded with the visit of the division general Claudio Minghetti, commander of the armyoperational luffs south, who, addressing all the personnel, expressed his satisfaction for the great commitment shown and for having been able to effectively conduct a complex exercise in cooperation also with foreign units.
