Yesterday morning, after the surrender of honors to the highest military authorities, at 09.00 the parade of the black feathers started, preceded by the war flag of the 2nd alpine regiment of the brigade Taurinense, from the gonfalons of the principal cities of Piedmont and from the national labaro of theNational Alpine Association with the president of the ANA, engineer Sebastiano Favero.
In addition to the civil, religious and military authorities, Senator Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti, Defense Chief of Staff, General Claudio Graziano, Army Chief of Staff, Army Corps General Danilo Errico and Commander were present of the Alpine troops, general of division Federico Bonato.
New this year the greeting message of Pope Bergoglio, of Asti origins, addressed to black feathers during the recitation of the Queen Coeli which has arrested the removal of the representations and the sections.
The alpine troops of the Italian Army were employed internationally in Lebanon with the brigade Taurinense, recently returned to the national territory with the "Safe Roads" operation in collaboration with the police forces to increase the safety of the main metropolitan areas.
The gathering returned to Asti after twenty years; the last time it was wanted here to thank for the work and the support that the Army and in particular of the Alpini was assured to the Piedmontese populations hit by the flood of November 1994.
