Yesterday morning, in the presence of the Undersecretary of State for Defense, Domenico Rossi, and of the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Danilo Errico, the exercise "Italian Blade 2015", the largest military exercise with helicopters in Europe, coordinated by the aviation command Army of Viterbo.
Organized by the European Defense Agency, at the polygon of Monteromano the training involved more than 30 helicopters, which flew over 600ore, and about 1200 military belonging to 7 Nations, with the aim of increasing the level of interoperability of the Forces Armed of the different European countries.
"Italian Blade 2015", where Italy has participated with the most numerous contingent, with Army Aviation assets and crews and also a Navy helicopter, began last 22 June and saw the military in action other 6 nations including Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Belgium and the Czech Republic, who have prepared for the different types of missions.
On the final day, after the launch of paratroops, the capture of a terrorist - General Sirius - was simulated, implementing, in a coordinated way, procedures and techniques of the various European countries.
