This morning, a CH 47 F of the 1 ° regiment Antares Army Aviation has recovered, at the request of the prosecutor of L'Aquila, the remains of the 118 helicopter crashed at Campo Felice in Abruzzo last January 24.

Despite the unfavorable weather conditions and the wreckage being divided into several sections, the Army personnel, coordinated on the ground by mountain rescue personnel, carried out a harness which then allowed the subsequent transport of the remains nearby of the SP 696 provincial road at almost 1400 meters of altitude.

The Italian Army is increasingly called to a multi-faceted and dual employment, in line with the "White Book" of Defense which confirms an ever increasing availability of men and women, means and equipment able to operate and be used also in favor of the population, on the national territory.

A job made possible thanks to the skills acquired abroad and to the means and technologies that can be used both in military operations and in support of the population.
