Italian Parachuting Championships

Saturday and Sunday Montagnana Airport hosted the Italian Parachuting Championship for the specialty of landing precision. The Army athletes have confirmed the excellent start to the season by imposing themselves in a race that has witnessed the difficult specialty of Landing Precision 56 athletes and 12 teams from all over Italy.

The Army has deployed 13 athletes well, including the corporal rookie Matteo Del Sorbo, born in Ferrara but transplanted to Pisa at the Parachute Training Center of the Folgore Paratrooper Brigade who with his 26 years was one of the younger athletes in the race . The good weather conditions allowed the athletes to carry out the eight scheduled launches and the two final ones. At the end of the competition, the final team classification awarded Esercito 1 with the highest step of the podium, second place for the 2 Army and behind the Carabinieri.

Excellent match of the chosen chief corporal Francesco Gullotti, former Military World Champion in Brazil in the 2011, who placed second in the second place followed on the third step of the podium by 1 'caporal major Luigi Pinchieri.

In the women's standings with a good run the sergeant Annalisa Di Tecco is in second place, behind her the chosen corporal Milena Zanotti earns an excellent third position.

The lieutenant Giorgio Squadrone wins the title in the Combined, that is the sum of the placings in the Italian Championships of precision in landing and style in free fall. Behind him the major corporal chosen Filippini second and Lieutenant Giuseppe Tresoldi third.

The next major commitment for Army athletes is the 1 ^ World Cup Series 2015 test to be held in Rijeka (Croatia) from 12 to 14 June.
