Change of the logistic support commander

Today, in the presence of the Army's logistic commander, at the "Rossetti" barracks in Rome, the logistic support commander, Brigadier General Roberto Nardone handed over the command, after about three years, to Brigadier General Roberto Cernuzzi.

The period in which brig.gen. Nardone was characterized by important support activities for the COVID-19 pandemic emergency throughout the national territory, with the logistic support command (COMSUPLOG) protagonist in the deployment of ROLE 2 type field hospitals in Aosta, Perugia and Cosenza, on the stockpile of other sanitary devices previously deployed in Crema and Piacenza starting from March 2020. The conferment, with presidential decree n. 349 of 30 December 2020, of the Bronze Medal of Army Valor to the Logistic Support Command, delivered during the ceremony.

During his speech, the Army Logistics Commander expressed gratitude to General Nardone and to all the men and women of his divisions for the work done, especially in the complexity of the emergency situation, always demonstrating multifaceted skills and professionalism, essential for dealing with critical situations that require speed, effectiveness and readiness.

Brig. Gen. Nardone, in his farewell speech, thanked the employees for the commitment and professionalism shown, without which the COMSUPLOG would not have received such numerous expressions of compliments and thanks from the authorities who gave credit to the Organization and to all the Armed Forces. Brig. gen. Nardone will assume command of the Southern Heavy Maintenance Pole of Nola (NA).​
