The turnover ceremony in the role of commander of the logistics support command took place today in the presence of the logistics commander of the Army, Army Corps General Mauro D'Ubaldi, at the "Giuseppe Rossetti" barracks in Rome ( COMSUPLOG) between Brigadier General Roberto Cernuzzi and the incoming peer Pietro Lo Giudice.

The ceremony, which took place in front of the war flag of the 6th General Support Logistics Regiment, was attended by military, civil and religious authorities as well as representatives of military, category and specialty combatant associations.

Brigadier General Cernuzzi, in his farewell speech, intended to underline the professionalism and high spirit of self-sacrifice that characterized the service provided by his collaborators and dependent departments, also thanking the chain of command that has always placed him in the best conditions to achieve increasingly challenging results for operational logistics.

The logistics commander of the Army, in thanking General Cernuzzi for the objectives achieved, wished the incoming commander to be able to continue the efforts made up to now, continuing, with determined conduct, to strengthen the action of the logistics support command in the indispensable and vital support function for the Armed Forces.

COMSUPLOG, reporting directly to the Army logistics command, contributes to providing the combat service support battalion (CSS-BN) as well as the national support element (NSE) abroad, in addition to the staff responsible for managing the transit of men, vehicles and materials for national and international operations, as well as support with specific health modules for the medical staff employed in military field hospitals set up in foreign operational or support theaters to national health emergencies.
