Today, in the presence of the Army logistic commander, army corps general Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, the director of the Military Polyclinic of Rome "Celio" took place between the division general Francesco Diella, transferor, and the greatest General Giacomo Mammana, successor.

During his speech, General Figliuolo thanked General Diella for the fruitful work he carried out during his mandate, underlining, at a time when military health was experiencing a period of historical revision, the great commitment made for the development of the "Grande Celio" project, with the gradual integration of the Polyclinic into the fabric of the National Health System and the consolidation of partnerships with the academic world and with the most important research and development institutes.

In this context, there are many milestones achieved by the Military Polyclinic, among them: the opening of the Celio to the needs of the citizens, making 40 beds available in the areas of general surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, emergency eye care and Emergency Medicine in favor of the hospitals of the Region, access to the public of the Military Polyclinic diagnostic service for users of the San Giovanni Addolorata Hospital, thus promoting the streamlining of regional waiting lists.

Also of note is the agreement with the Santa Lucia Foundation as part of the Veterans Defense Center project. Last but not least, he underlined the great commitment of the Celio health structures to support operations in the various international theaters and at home in favor of public health to face the Coronavirus emergency.

The Army logistic commander then sent greetings for the new assignment to General Mammana who, thanks to the great experience gained in the assignment of hospital director, will certainly be able to enhance the action of the Military Polyclinic so that it is always able to express the highest level of health support in all operational and emergency contexts. The Military Polyclinic of Rome, recently ISO 9001 certified, is able to express highly qualified personnel for all health needs in international operations and is the health facility for the hospitalization and care of the Armed Forces staff serving at home and abroad. abroad, in charge of both clinical-assistance activities and training of medical, nursing and technical-health personnel.
