The decommissioning and reclamation operations of two 75 mm artillery shells of US nationality dating back to the 2 World War ended yesterday.

Army bomb makers belonging to the 10 ° Regiment Genio Guastatori of Cremona, coordinated by the prefecture of Modena and by North Interregional Defense Forces Command of Padua (COMFODI NORD), intervened in Fanano (MO) to carry out the clearance of unexploded ordnance.

During the operations, the team of specialists found an incendiary phosphorus charge in one of the two grenades, so it was necessary to request the support of the fire brigade to prevent any outbreaks of fire during the blasting. The operations were successfully completed at 16.30.
