At the Application School we talk about Waterloo at 200 years away

09/06/15

The re-enactment of the Battle of Waterloo is the theme of the conference held yesterday by the historian and writer Alessandro Barbero at the Army Training Command and Application School.

The illustrious writer could not have chosen a better location such as the historic Palazzo Arsenale, the headquarters of the Army Army Training and Application School, the oldest European military institute, to tell the numerous guests the strategies and errors committed by the protagonists of one of the most famous battles in history of which the 18 next June will be the bicentennial.

The relevance of the historical fact and the competence of the speaker has aroused much curiosity among the attending officers and those present, generating an intense debate at the end of the cultural meeting that had the purpose of increasing, thanks to the contribution of authoritative lecturers, the heritage of knowledge of young attending officers on wide-ranging topics.

The Army Training and Application Command is the Institute responsible for the training of officers and non-commissioned officers and for the language teaching of the entire Armed Forces.
