Agreement between AVES and the Fire Department

The Army and Fire Brigade Aviation, at the headquarters of the Central Directorate for Training of the Central Fire Prevention School, today signed a significant collaboration agreement in order to always be able to provide the best possible support in case of need.

The commander of the Army Aviation (AVES) Brigadier General Antonio Bettelli and the Central Director of Formation of the National Fire Department, Ing. Emilio Ochiuzzi, signed an agreement that provides for the interaction between the two organizations in the provision of vehicles, premises, teaching materials, teaching staff and logistic support for various training activities.

All this, with a view to favoring the synergy aimed at saving money and optimizing resources, safeguarding the priority institutional needs of each area and facilitating the exchange of activities between the two organizations, including training.

Both will provide means, premises and teaching materials, as well as the staff designated for teaching for training activities and where available, logistical support for food and lodging.

The AVES undertakes to carry out the following activities in favor of the personnel of the Fire Brigade:

course for the attainment of the qualification of pilot Instructor of flight; course for the attainment of the qualification of Technical Instructor; course of qualification for pilots on helicopter AB-206; qualification course for pilots on helicopter AB-412; qualification course for Mechanical Technicians with qualification on AB-412 helicopter, qualification course for Electronic Technicians with AB-412 helicopter qualification, course for line fuel operators.

The Fire Brigade undertakes to allow qualified personnel for the Army Aviation Fire Service: the use of the Montelibretti simulator for firefighting exercises in favor of A / I course attendants; the use of the " smoke "in favor of A / W personnel with the use of masks with self-contained breathing apparatus; the carrying out of the annual exercise on fire, using the simulator where available, at the Departments of the Fire Brigade. The Fire Brigade also undertakes to carry out for COMAVES employees:

to carry out courses for airport A / I certification (ICAO CAT 7 certification), qualification course for River Speleo Alpine Rescue (SAF) level 2, phase B, training course for Firefighters for high fire risk activities.
