In the Goldoni Hall of Palazzo Gallenga, home of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the memorandum of understanding between the University and the Army Foreign Languages School (SLEE) was signed.

The commander of the SLEE, brigadier general Pietro Romano, and the magnificent rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, prof. Valerio De Cesaris, placed their signatures on the document which seals the common interest in integrating language courses with specific cultural activities.

This agreement opens the doors to a closer understanding between the two Umbrian realities, allowing the organization of conferences, workshops, seminars and training courses for students, managers, officials and operators and of "lectio magistralis" by high representatives of the Parties on topics of common interest, as well as the production of joint publications and documents.

Considering that it is essential to increase knowledge of the culture and civilization of which the language is the spokesperson, the beneficiaries of the agreement will be both foreign attendees of Italian language courses and Army personnel who attend foreign language courses.
