The fortieth anniversary ceremony of the 165th "Fierezza" course took place in recent days, which made it possible to bring together, in a symbolic twinning, the young students of the 205th course with the officers of the 165th, sealing the profound bond of brotherhood that binds the different generations of officers who attend the Military Academy.

Major General Davide Scalabrin, commander of the Institute, welcomed the participants and their families, recalling how the many changes that have affected the Academy in the last 40 years have not changed the centrality of the ethical-moral education of the future official.

During the ceremony, the course leader, Brigadier General Salvatore Carta, addressed significant words of encouragement to the student officers and students of the 204th "Will" course and the 205th "Fierezza" course present, reminding them: “the world and the Army have now become small, but the years spent at the Academy represent a profound bond thanks to which we feel like brothers, more than simple friends and colleagues, ready to support each other in service and in life".

165 officer students were admitted to the 339th "Fierezza" course, to which were then added 13 attendees of Somali nationality; the oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic took place on 13 December 1984 in the presence of the President of the Council of Ministers the Hon. Bettino Craxi and the in front of the Institute Flag, symbol of the homeland and military virtues.
