In recent days, in the Hall of Honor of the Military Academy, the swearing-in ceremony took place for 151 second lieutenants of the various arms, of the transport and material force, of the police station corps, of the engineering corps and of the health corps belonging to at the 203rd “Loyalty” course.
The officers of the 203rd "Loyalty" course, promoted last September 1st at the end of the two-year academic period, took the Oath of loyalty to the Italian Republic, individually, in front of the Institute Flag of the Military Academy and in the presence of the commander , general of division Davide Scalabrin.
The commander, as a preface to the Oath, focused on how this solemn act is the most important commitment that a soldier can make.
From this year, the second lieutenants of the normal role of the various arms and the police station, together with the officers of the Transport and Materials Corps and the Corps of Engineers, will continue their training course in Modena for a further year, until they obtain their degree. three-year course in the various fields of study, before being transferred to the Application School of Turin, where they will conclude their university and military studies as a prerequisite for their employment in the bodies and departments of the armed force.
The officers attending the degree courses in Medicine and Surgery, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies and Veterinary Medicine will remain in the Military Academy until obtaining their respective master's degrees from the Universities of Modena-Reggio Emilia and Bologna.
