The company, led by Major Zanninovich, commander of the 2 paratroopers battalion, brought 75 paratroopers onto Greek soil, demonstrating the value of Italian paratroopers. The ceremony was held at the Vannucci barracks, in the presence of many ex who served in the ranks of the 187 ° Regiment and more specifically in the ranks of the 5 ^ "Pipistrelli" Company, the department that carried out the war launch on Greek soil .
On the occasion, it was delivered by the commander of the 187 ° Regiment, col. Angelo Sacco the "Meloria Trophy", a prize awarded to the regiment parachutist, distinguished by the commitment and sacrifice made in service in the ranks of the 187 °.
