Health flights from Olbia and Bari on Linate

Intense activity of the aircraft of the 31 ° Flock of Ciampino occurred between Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 November for emergency transport of a woman of 75 years, which was transferred from Olbia to Linate for immediate hospitalization at the Policlinico San Matteo of Pavia and a man of 34 years, transported from Bari to Linate for admission to the Niguarda Hospital in Milan.

The transports by air, necessary given the critical conditions of the patients, were requested respectively by the prefecture of Olbia and by the prefecture of Bari to the Situation Room of the aerial team command which, immediately, ordered the activation of sanitary flights, carried out with aircraft Falcon 900 and Falcon 50 of the 31 ° Stormo,

The aircraft landed at the military airport of Linate and landed the patients for their subsequent transfer to the Lombard health facilities. At the end of the landing operations both the F900 and the F50 returned to Ciampino.

The Airport Command / Headquarters of the 1ª Milan-Linate Air Region has the task of guaranteeing H24 assistance to institutional aircraft, as well as to aircrafts engaged in medical flights and humanitarian missions in transit to Milan and to support, from the point of view logistic-administrative, the Authorities, Departments of the Air Force and Interforcements that insist on the seats of the Command 1ª Air Region / Command of Military Interforce Defense and of the Military Airport Command of Linate.
