Italian Eurofighters and Polish F-16s train together

A joint training activity took place in the skies of Poland in which aircraft took part Euro Fighter Italians of the Air Task Force 4th Wing – redeployed in Malbork – and the Polish F-16s of 52nd Fighter Wing of Lask.

Task Force Air 4th Wing “White Eagle II” employs four aircraft Euro Fighter (F-2000) from air defense wings of the Italian Air Force: 4th Grosseto wing, 36th Gioia del Colle wing, 37th Trapani wing and 51st Istrana wing.

- Euro Fighter Italians operate within the NATO mission of enhanced Air Policing to defend the airspace of the eastern flank of the Atlantic Alliance.

These aircraft guarantee the interception of any suspicious trace detected by radar within minutes, 24 hours a day, 24 days a year.

The missions of Air Policing are conducted under the command and control of one of the two combined air operations centre (CAOC), located respectively in Uedem (Germany) for the north area and Torrejon (Spain) for the south area, under the supervision ofallied air command (AIRCOM) of Ramstein (Germany).
