In the subsequent intervention, the flight safety officer of the department illustrated the military flight procedures and the new layout of the Guidonia ATZ.
Air Brigade General Amedeo Magnani, flight safety inspector, illustrated and commented on various inconveniences and flight incidents, highlighting the fundamental aspects for a correct dissemination of flight safety culture: prevention, transparency and communication. , highlighted the difference between error and voluntary infringement, thus introducing the principles of "Just Culture" necessary for the improvement of "Safety".
The general (r) Giulio Cacciatore, general director of the AeCI, in his speech, presented the statistics of the flight incidents occurred in the field of pleasure flying and sports (VDS), asking for a greater contribution in reporting possible incidents / accidents to the aim to improve the prevention of the same and the effort that the AECI is making in the field of flight safety. Among the speakers was also present prof. Bonsanti, professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Reggio Calabria, who discussed "Methodologies and experiences for flight safety" with references to Operational Risk Management and the Safety Management System.
During the seminar a test was organized with questions related to flight safety and the top 10 finishers had the opportunity to try the glider flight simulator. The anniversary of the women's day was the occasion for a floral tribute to the women present, delivered by the cadets of the aeronautical academy of Pozzuoli who participated in the seminar.The day ended with a visit to the static display at the flight line.
The flight safety seminars are addressed to pilots of commercial, general aviation (AG) and recreational and sport flight (VDS) who carry out flight activities at the airfields and the airfields located in areas adjacent to military airports. it is dedicated to the aspects of prevention and the problems related to the non-collision / unauthorized penetration in the controlled airspace.
