On the afternoon of Thursday 21 January, alerted by the prefecture of Brindisi, the Top Situation Room of the Air Squad Command ordered the 31 ° Stormo's immediate take-off of an Falcon 900 EASy.

The mission involved the urgent transport from Brindisi to Bologna of a Pugliese patient suffering from severe cerebral aneurysm. The man, stretchered, traveled under the constant assistance of a doctor and a nurse who monitored his vital parameters throughout the flight.

The next day the same aircraft carried out two other urgent transports.

The first mission, from Alghero to Genoa, carried a child of only 4 days affected by congenital heart disease at the Ligurian airport for subsequent transfer to the Gaslini Hospital. The child, in imminent danger of life, traveled accompanied by his mother and medical staff who assisted the patient for the duration of the flight.

Following the Falcon 900 EASy took off again from Ciampino to Turin where he boarded a medical team and transported it to Bari, where the team had to make an explant.

The aircraft remained at the airport waiting for the team who after about 5 hours returned with the explanted organ and was immediately transported back to Turin for subsequent transplantation of the organ itself.

The stringent survival times of the explanted organ have forced both the medical team and the flight crew to work quickly and efficiently to complete the mission successfully.

The aircraft returned to Ciampino on the morning of Saturday 23 January, but immediately after a new emergency medical transport was requested by the Brindisi Prefecture and ordered by the Situation Summit Room.

The airplane then took off again for the Brindisi capital to board a 60-year-old lady suffering from severe heart failure who was traveling on a stretcher and transport her to the Milan Linate airport.

At their destination, an ambulance from the Niguarda Hospital was waiting to collect the patient and guarantee her subsequent hospitalization at the Milan hospital.
