The AM Caserta School supports 118

Yesterday the helicopter landing area of ​​the AM Specialist School of Caserta was interested, upon activation of the "118" service, for the emergency medical transport of an injured man following a fall in a cliff in the mountainous area of ​​Garzano in the municipality of Caserta.

The health intervention was carried out with an AB-412 helicopter of the Fire Department that after having recovered the injured person at the accident site and landed at the SSAM where the man was transported by ambulance to the Sant'Anna hospital and San Sebastiano di Caserta to receive the appropriate care. SSAM health personnel assisted in transferring the injured person from the helicopter to the ambulance.

The helicopter landing area of ​​the SSAM, during the year, is normally used for health emergencies and for injured, traumatized, sick and organs transport operations or for the activities of the 118 service.

The Specialist School of the Air Force, commanded by Colonel Veniero Santoro, provides basic military, cultural, technical-professional and moral training for the specialists (sergeant students, sergeants and volunteers of permanent service troops), non-managerial personnel of the Armed Forces interested in a process of conversion / professional qualification and of "Aircraft Maintenance" of other Armed Forces and Police Forces. The school also hosts the "Campania" group of the "Safe Roads" operation.
