Convention against sexual and psychological violence

Yesterday the Conference entitled "Sex Crime When Love Becomes a Crime" was held at the Specialist School of Caserta in Caserta.

The conference, whose purpose was to analyze, under several angles, the phenomenon of sexual and psychological violence in order to have an overall view on the subject, is part of a project promoted by the Italian Juridical Observatory and by the Italian Academy of Forensic Sciences which involves lawyers, psychologists, psychiatrists and many other professionals, including internationally renowned.

The initiative is part of an awareness campaign against all forms of violence, which is associated with the communication campaign "A selfie against violence".

The conference began with the introduction of the school commander, Colonel Santoro, who thanked the organization "for choosing the Specialist School to host this important event. I consider these issues to be of great importance as a strategic tool , of communication and knowledge, also and above all in favor of course and personnel visitors, the whole of the Italian Air Force This is an important occasion to spread the culture of prevention to the various forms of violence linked to the love that so much damage causes to the families and in the lives of the people who remain victims ".

The conference was attended by first level speakers including prof. Alessandro Meluzzi, psychiatrist and criminologist, the general of the Carabinieri on leave Luciano Garofano, president of the Italian Academy of Forensic Sciences, Mr. David Cronk, specialized in sex offenders and former director for Europe and Africa at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), deputy director Joseph Briggs, prof. Giovanni Presta, president of the Supervisory Commission of social and health structures, Dr. Cinzia Gimelli, forensic psychologist and member of the board of the Italian Academy of Forensic Sciences, the lawyer. Tiziana Barrella, expert in body language, Dr. Paola Giannetakis, investigative psychologist, and the journalist Gian Luigi Edoardo Nuzzi.

The prefect of Caserta, dr. Carmela Pagano, the chief of the city, dr. Francesco Messina, and Dr. Raffella Capasso, deputy public prosecutor at the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere (CE), as well as the mayor of the city, dr. Pio Del Gaudio.

The conference aroused particular interest also among the participants of the various courses and the staff of the School.

The event is one of the many that the Training Institute hosts at its facilities during the year in order to bring the Air Force closer to the city and the territory that hosts it since 1926.

The AM Specialist School, is the Armed Forces Organization which provides military, cultural, technical-professional and moral training for the specialists, sergeants and volunteers of troops in permanent service, as well as for non-directive personnel of the Air Force interested in a trial professional conversion / qualification / specialization and aircraft maintenance personnel belonging to other Armed Forces and Police Forces.
