Tiger Meet 2016 tutorial concluded

With 97 aircraft and around 1500 participants closed on Friday 27 May, one of the largest air exercises for numbers of aircraft and participants, the Tiger Meet 2016.

The "Tigers" of 15 took part in the exercise in different countries, including Italy with helicopters HH-212 of the 21 ° group of the 9 ° flock of Grazzanise (CE) ed Euro Fighter of the 12 ° interceptor hunting group of the 36 ° flock of Gioia del Colle (BA), deployed at the base area of ​​Zaragoza (Spain).

In addition to the two flight units, to the Tiger Meet 2016 Italian personnel from the international program also participated Tactical Leadership Program (TLP) and crews operating on NATO AWACS aircraft.

The purpose of the exercise was to increase operational capabilities, professionalism and interoperability among NATO nations through the use of complex scenarios and missions with the performance of composite air operations.

During the training event, important awards were given to the Italian units for their spirit of attachment, professionalism and integration, such as the Tiger Spirit Award at the 12 ° group and an award for the best team color combination at the 21 ° group.

On the day of the 25 May, the commander of the air team, Maurizio Lodovisi, an aerial team general accompanied by the commander of the 1ª air brigade of Cervia, brigadier general Francesco Saverio Agresti and the commander of the 9 ° flock, Colonel Ivan Mignogna, carried out a visit to the Italian redevelopment involved in the exercise. After complimenting all the participants, the commander of the air team underlined the commitment of the Air Force personnel and aircraft used in Spanish territory highlighting how "the national and international awards received are a source of satisfaction for Italy and act as a stimulus for all the important operational challenges that the armed force will be called upon to face for the future".
