Command change at 36 ° Stormo

Wednesday 7 September, at the Ramirez Airport of Gioia del Colle (BA), there was a change of command of the 36 ° Stormo Caccia between the outgoing commander, Colonel pilot Andrea Fazi and the incoming commander, Colonel pilot Bruno Levati.

The event was chaired by the commander of the Air Squadron, general of the air squadron Franco Girardi and saw the participation of the commander of the Schools AM / 3ª Air Region, air force general Fernando Giancotti and the commander of the Combat Forces, general of division aerial Claudio Gabellini, on which the flock directly depends, as well as the highest military, civil and religious authorities of the territory.

The rotation in command was symbolically sanctioned by the delivery of the 36 ° war flag between the two commanders, together with the pronouncement of the rite formula for the assumption of the prestigious position.

In his farewell speech, Colonel Fazi intends to address the applause to the women and men of the Wing who, during their period of command, have worked to best meet the needs of the Italian Air Force and ensure their contribution to the service of the Country, small piece without which the mosaic is not composed.

Colonel Levati, who returns to the 36 ° Stormo where he served for thirteen years, from the 1996 to the 2008, exalted the spirit of body and the sense of belonging to a family - that of the 36 ° Stormo - for which to operate with the utmost dedication and pride, thanking the military summit for the trust given in the assignment of the command.

The ceremony ended with the intervention of the general of sa Girardi who - after expressing his heartfelt thanks to the land of Puglia that welcomes the 36 ° Stormo and the Command of the AM Schools of Bari, where he spent three years in command - has recalled that the handover constitutes a formal but equally substantial moment in the operational life of a military organization: "ensuring continuity in change" involves a constant exchange of physical and intellectual energies necessary to better manage the activities present and prepare in the most effective way to deal with future ones. The commander of the Air Squad subsequently underlined the meritorious and authoritative action of command that Colonel Fazi was able to guarantee, recognizing the complexity and quality of the work carried out in a period of transformation and operational growth of the flock, thanks also to the excellent results achieved with daily commitment of all staff. To Colonel Levati he finally confirmed his full confidence, aware that he will carry out the delicate task with maximum commitment and foresight and that he can rely on the generous and capable participation of all the 36 ° Stormo. The commanding general then concluded his speech by thanking the families of military personnel who, with their moral support, are close in their daily commitment and share the sacrifices and satisfactions of their loved ones.
