Ambulance in flight with a C-130J transport aircraft

An Air Force C-130J transport aircraft took off a few minutes from Alghero airport carrying an ambulance carrying an 8-year-old child in imminent danger of life to Genoa. Emergency medical transport from Alghero to Genoa was necessary to ensure immediate specialist medical care at the Gaslini pediatric hospital in the Ligurian capital for the young patient, hospitalized at the University Hospital of Sassari.

The request for air transport was sent by the hospital to the prefecture of Sassari and was subsequently received by the room top situations of the air team command who ordered the immediate take-off of a C-130J of the 46 ^ Pisa air brigade.
