Aeronautica Militare: The VFP1 recruitment contest has been completed

On Friday 17 April, the public competition for the recruitment of 600 students in fixed terms of one year (VFP1) of the Italian Air Force came to an end.

The selection tests were held at the Air Force Volunteer Troop School (SVTAM) of Taranto where 1152 competitors, of which 933 men and 219 women, took the tests required to ascertain the necessary requirements for the subsequent enlistment expected in 2015.

In particular, the competitors flocked to the school in 17 different groups that followed in the period from the 2 to the 27 March (phase I) and from the 13 to the 17 April (phase II); in this period of time, as foreseen by the competition announcement and the regulations in force, the commission, specifically appointed by the Directorate General for Military Personnel, submitted the candidates to three different tests: the intellectual efficiency test; the test of physical efficiency and psycho-attitudinal judgment following individual interviews.

During the competition, the candidates benefited from room and board within the School which, in addition to providing the necessary logistical support, ensured the running of the competition thanks to its own staff assisted by the AM Selection Center in Guidonia and by official selection experts from various departments of the AM.

The SVTAM, in addition to providing for the selection of volunteers in fixed focus, also takes care of the subsequent training and training of the same.

The 600 candidates eligible winners of the competition, in fact, will attend the 20th VFP1 Course which will be divided into the 1st and 2nd incorporation, which is scheduled to take place in May and September 2015.
