Aerocooperation: 4th "Joint Targeting" course concluded

The 27 ^ edition of the "Joint Targeting" course, entirely developed in English by the Guidonia Aerocooperation School (RM), for officers and non-commissioned officers, belonging to the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the 'Weapon of the Carabinieri, intended for use in supportive or staff inter-operative elements of an operational command or of a joint force command (command of forces in operation).

The course, recently perfected according to national doctrinal innovations and NATO of reference, is based on the operational concept of the "Targeting cycle", seen as an iterative process of evaluation at strategic and operational level, of the objectives to be pursued and with which tools, of the subsequent results achieved and analysis of their correspondence.

In this edition, the attending staff has also deepened the knowledge on the use of particular application tools, such as the Joint Targeting System in use at Air Operations Command of Poggio Renatico, where he held specific training sessions.

The School of Aerocooperation is the military interforces institute specialized training and technical-operational value in the field of interpretation of remote sensing images (aerial and satellite) and in that of aeroterrestrial and aeronaval cooperation.

For the training and qualification of the Forward Air Controllers, the school commander is the "National Certification Authority".

The courses of the Aerocooperation School are open not only to the military personnel of the armed forces, but also to personnel external to the Defense administration and to the military personnel of NATO and the countries participating in the international program of Partnership for Peace (PfP - Partnership for Peace), with prior authorization from the Defense General Staff.

The training / training procedures for Synthetic Aperture Radar Imagery Interpretation (SAR-II), Initial / Advanced Remote Sensing (IRS / ARS) e Forward Air Controllers (FAC) have obtained NATO certification and are published in the course catalog (ETOC) of theAllied Command for Transformation from Norfolk (USA).
