Video: in the Damascus of every day, including mortar rounds

25/10/16

Life is apparently quiet in Damascus. The chaotic traffic is that of an Arab capital; the people, the cars, the taxis, the traffic, the constant noise of an ancient and modern city at the same time. Day and night, shops, artisan shops and bazaars live on. Men, women, elderly children work, pass, walk ... Between busy faces, everything flows: a cafe, an alley in the old city, a ramshackle sign. If we didn't know we were in Damascus we could be in any corner of the Middle East. Every so often, however, something reminds us of the war ... at minute 1'36 "a roar of artillery cuts through the air in the indifference of every day.

Good vision!
