Italy, France, Germany and Great Britain are confronted

Last week I witnessed an extremely interesting event: it was an international conference, held at the Cesano Infantry School, on the infantry use procedures, equipment and weapons supplied. I went there without knowing initially how instructive it would be.

In the various countries of the Alliance they are held regularly but the value and uniqueness of these appointments is that they are not conferences in which everyone reads a speech, gives each other a pat on the back and says goodbye. These are meetings in which officers of nations such as France, Great Britain, Germany and of course Italy discuss and confront each other on operational and tactical procedures or on what equipment to provide to soldiers.

In short, in an Italy in which we normally discuss whether we should see violets or daisies on the barrel of the gun, it was really nice to hear about the issues and military equipment of the professionals. Starting with the commander of the Infantry School, Division General Giovanni Manione ...
