The day in favor of the families of the Fallen of Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) was organized, at the Shama base, by the command of the Joint Task Force Lebanon (JTF-L) Sector West (SW) of UNIFIL and follows the event which has already seen the collaboration between the band of the parachute brigade thunderbolt and the chorus ofAssociation of Martyrs of the LAF.
The initiative, in which over 120 children of various ages took part accompanied by their families, was organized in coordination with the LAF and the association of the "Martyr Lieutenant Colonel Al Akoury".
Sports and motor activities, entertainment and cooking courses, have outlined a path of knowledge and intercultural exchange, with a view to supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces, with which the UNIFIL mission is engaged daily, side by side, for the maintenance of security and stability of South Lebanon and for compliance with Resolution 1701.
La Task Force it is established on the basis of the "Folgore" parachute brigade, which integrates the effort of numerous other specialized components of the Italian and other countries' armed forces, whose skills and competences ensure the complementarity and operational flexibility necessary for the fulfillment of the mission.
