(To Greater Defense)
20/04/24

The Blue Helmets of the "Taurinense" Alpine Brigade concluded a joint training session in recent days, called "Familiarization of Deployment", with the French units part of the United Nation Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Objective of the activity: to increase mutual knowledge of personnel, interoperability through the use of equipment and procedures used during operational activities (self-defense during movement between homes, crossing dangerous points or approaching buildings , interventions to follow in the event of IEDs being found - Improvised Explosive Devices and UXO - Unexploded Ordinance).

For the Alpine troops of the "Taurinense" it is nothing new to operate with their French colleagues, who are part of the Italian-French brigade command (called Not Standing Bi-National Brigade Command – NSBNBC): the large mixed unit, not permanent but readily employable, based on the “Taurinense” alpine brigade and the 27th French mountain infantry brigade, can carry out missions within the United Nations, NATO and European Union.
